About

This skeletal mechanism has been derived by Manqi Zhu at CERFACS.

It is derived using ARCANE from a detailed mechanism* for the pyrolysis and combustion with 451 species and 17848 reactions from Politecnico di Milano, done for propane steam cracking process, with a reasonable temperature and pressure range for steam cracking. Cases with a temperature and a pressure in [900K, 1300K] and [1.8e5Pa, 2.5e5Pa] respectively are validated, while larger T/P range can be expected.

The mass fraction temporal evolutions of main species propane C3H8 , ethylene/ethene C2H4 , propene C3H6, methane CH4, propadiene PC3H4, methylacetylene AC3H4, acetylene C2H2, butadiene C4H6 , benzene C6H6 and hydrogen H2 are ensured.

It comprises 31 transported species and 124 reactions.
